I know many of you had encountered denial when Coding Sacroiliac
Injection for Pain Management with the radiology and needle placement
guidance because it descriptively shows that as of January 2012, your
CPT Code 27096 ~ with image guidance (fluoroscopy or CT) including
arthrography when performed.

But if the services were performed prior to this change, you may appeal
your claims with the guideline prior to January 01, 2012 CPT Code

This CPT Code also has no global period.

I hope this helps.
